We light the way by living a life that points others to Christ – being both salt and light to a lost world (Matthew 5:13-14). We do this by our conduct and our speech – not only striving to live a holy life “in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation” (Philippians 2:15) but also by always being ready to speak to others to share the “reason for the hope that is within” us (1 Peter 3:15).

We grow in truth by taking in God’s Word individually and corporately. We make it a matter of personal discipline to read, study, memorize, and meditate on God’s Word daily. We also learn by submitting to the teaching of God’s Word in corporate settings at our church. These opportunities include Life Groups, men’s and ladies’ Bible studies, mid-week Bible study, and our Sunday morning worship service. Our purpose is not just to gain knowledge but to also apply the Bible to our daily lives so as to grow in Christlikeness (Psalm 119:33-37).

We share life in two primary ways. First, we involve each other in our lives. We resist the urge to live the Christian life in isolation and we form relationships that result in mutual love, encouragement, and accountability (John 13:35). Second, we share in service to the church. We each have a part to play; talents to use; jobs to do - so Fairway can function as a body that is effective in reaching our world for Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-26).
